The LOGOS EU/EEA team possesses broad knowledge and practice in European and EEA law. LOGOS´ EU/EEA lawyers have specialised in European law, graduating from various universities in Europe and have gained work experience at several of the European Union´s organisations and EFTA. LOGOS´ EU/EEA lawyers have years of experience working in the various departments of the EFTA Surveillance Authority in particular.

Icelandic legislation is increasingly based on European legislation, and the importance of rulings by the EU Courts and the EFTA Court continues to increase. Because European legislation plays a role in the interpretation of Icelandic legislation, it is imperative for the LOGOS EU/EEA team to posess expertise in European Law. LOGOS has assisted both domestic and international private and public parties in litigation for the EFTA Surveillance Authority, the European Commission, the EFTA Court and the European Court of Justice.

Helga Melkorka Óttarsdóttir is one of LOGOS´ leading experts on European Law. She  has been a part of the Faculty of Law at the University of Iceland and Reykjavík University for many years, and has lectured extensively on the topic.
